About Putrefied Genitalia
PUTREFIED GENITALIA was founded by Jim (drums/guitar) and Kostas (vox.) in 2002. The early goal was to play raw and sick gore/grind influenced by death/grind milestones like CARCASS, AUTOPSY, PUNGENT STENCH. The result of the first musickal exhibitions of the band was a promo cd called "Inhuman Hunger". This promo 2002 was recorded and mixed in less than 4 hours and it was unleashed to the masses without even getting a proper mastering! "Inhuman Hunger" is granted as a rushed move. It's basic gore/grind in the old school way and the sound is crude. We still like this piece of rotten shit, but we believe we should have worked a lot more on the tracks and on the sound. After the release of the promo, an old friend, Andrew, joined the band as the bass player and PUTREFIED GENITALIA started working on new material. Stuff like "Liquidation", "Juicy holes and hairy balls" was composed at that time (early 2003). Soon after the arrival of Andrew, PUTREFIED GENITALIA found a permanent guitarist in the face of Jim A.. After this arrival Jim L. could concentrate solely in drums, and the line-up was finally stable... Not for long! After a while Andrew called it quits due to lack of time and motivation. He helped the band though in its first live show along with sickfucks like: INVERACITY and EXTREME VIOLENCE. Manos was attending that show from the audience and was astonished with PUTREFIED GENITALIA's performance and dynamic of their songs! He liked PUTREFIED GENITALIA so much that he bought the "Inhuman Hunger" cd immediately after the show! He already knew Andrew and so after that show PUTREFIED GENITALIA found a replacement for Andrew. Manos took the bass duties and a long time problem was finally solved. After that good news the band could finally concentrate in de-composing new shit and focus on a future recording. Another live show happened in 28th October 2003 with MASS INFECTION, MURDER ONE and CARNAL REDEMPTION. PUTREFIED GENITALIA came up with a new song (Uterine Carnage) and in December 2003 the band entered the studio to record its debut mini cd "FORCED SELF CASTRATION". In october 2005 "FORCED SELF CASTRATION recording finally got released as a split cd with the greek grinders ATAVISM, and after numerous line up fuck ups, the P.G. line up has been solid since early 2005.At the moment the band has its debut fullength entitled "Ruins of life" recorded and is currently searching for a record deal.
