Red Sparowes ~ At the Soundless Dawn

Red Sparowes is comprised of core-members, Bryant Clifford Meyer on guitar/vocals (Isis), Josh Graham on guitar/vocals (Neurosis visuals and cclaimed video director), and Greg Burns on bass and pedal steel (previously of Temporary Residence dark chamber folk sextet Halifax Pier). This recording also features Jeff Caxide on bass/guitar (Isis), as well as Dana Berkowitz on drums (formerly of Converge offshoot The Cignal). In a collaborative approach, the core group will continue to work with these and other musicians for each recording, allowing subtle and textural progressions in the music, while still keeping the heart of the sound intact. The sum total of its sound, however, stems more so from esoteric melodic guitar-surrealists of the mid-80’s Blast First and Too Pure hive than the fierce realism of the aforementioned cabal of heavy-psych rock.
