Γενικώς, λειτουργεί πάρα πολύ καλά. Μπερδεύεται μόνο σε λέξεις όπου μπορούν να τονίζονται σε διαφορετικό σημείο ή να τονίζονται μόνο κατά περίπτωση (πως και πώς).
Απ'ό,τι καταλαβαίνω, δε κάνει καμία προσπάθεια σημασιολογικής ανάλυσης, απλώς ακολουθεί έναν κανόνα τύπων μετατροπής σύμφωνα με τα σύμβολα που χρησιμοποιήθηκαν και έλεγχος αν η λέξη ταιριάζει σε ένα υπάρχον λεξικό, ενώ δουλεύει πάρα πολύ καλά σε κείμενα που έχουν και αγγλικές λέξεις. Λειτουργεί καλά για πολλά κείμενα που έκανα copy paste απ'το Requiem, παρά τις όποιες συμβάσεις (π.χ. και το 3 και το ks θα μεταφραστούν ορθώς σε ξ).
Εάν το greeklish είναι ανορθόγραφο (π.χ. το polly που έγραψε ο blackbird), θα μετατραπεί όπως είναι (θα γίνει πολλυ) ή θα το αφήσει όπως είναι. Επίσης, δεν αλλάζει πεζά και κεφαλαία (παρά τα όποια σημεία στίξης), ούτε πειράζει τα σημεία στίξης ("st arxidia" το μετέτρεψε "στ αρχίδια"), οπότε θέλει λίγο προσοχή.
