    On February 22, 2005 Epic Records/RED INK will release Steve Vai’s first new solo album in nearly five years, Real Illusions: Reflections, which features eleven highly anticipated tracks by Vai. The first volume of a three part “concept trilogy” features the legendary guitar virtuoso in fine form.

    'Ωντας λοιπόν ορκισμένος οπαδός του σταύρου, εσπευσα να αγορασω τον καινουριο δίσκο.
    Λοιπόν συνθετικά, θα ελεγα οτι παραπέμπει στα ultra zone/ fire garden. ο δίσκος είναι concept με αρκετούτσικες λεπτομέρειες, ψάξιμο, χαρακτηριστικά και οπως λέει στο εσώφυλλο: "Real illusions:reflections is the first part of a multilayed menagerie of vignettes based on the amplified mental exaggerations of a truth-seeking madman who sees the world... oh never mind..." (το βρίσκετε λίγο BE?)
    Η μπαντα απαρτίζεται από μελη που τον συνόδευαν και στο g3 (παρεπιπτόντως: G3 '05 ---> joe satriani/ steve vai/ john petrucci) δηλαδή:
    billy sheenan - bass
    jeremy colson - drums
    (ναι, λοίπουν οι mcalpine και weiner).
    Γενικά ο δισκος παρουσιάζει ποικιλια και δεν απευθύνεται αποκλειστικά σε μουσικούς, κυρίως επείδή είναι concept. Περιμένω σχόλια για την δισκάρα αυτή.....

    Δεν έχει να κάνει... Και στον D.D έπαιξε φοβερά... Και στο G3 παρόλο που ο Yngwie αντικειμενικά έχει καλύτερη τεχνική, ο Vai τον πάτησε... Θέλω να πω ότι η κιθάρα είναι ένα πολύ σύνθετο πράγμα... Moody και Mardsen τεχνικά μπορεί να ήταν κουλοί, αλλά Lie down, take me with you κι άλλα πολλά έχουν απίστευτο feeling...
