Τέλος πάντων, την ποίηση του την θεωρώ υπερεκτιμημένη (εξαιρούνται μερικά αριστουργήματα π.χ. To Zante, A Dream Within A Dream κ.α.) και μου φαίνεται πως η πραγματική του αξία βρίσκεται στα διηγήματα του (personal favourites "King Pest", "The Tell-Tale Heart").
