A few good months back Fabrics set up a remix competition, based on material off their debut, selt-titled album. Having finally managed to narrow down the remix entries to their 10 favorites, the time has come for Refabricated to see the light of day.The diversity of styles is really impressive in this one, going from the ambient experimental sounds of Fragile Balloon and Halftribe to the night-time downtempo of Scarf and Cosmic Box and from psytrance-insired Genuss and One Arc Degree to the dubstep-oriented Camelorg and Jimi Luckum. Meanwhile, Dama gives a nod to FSOL’s earlier works and Zars installs a highly efficient house-groove machine into Sad Modem.
