Κανένα δεν είχε "κλείσει" πέρα από megaupload. Απλά οι αντμινς τα κλείδωσαν όσο έτρεχαν τα γεγονότα για να έχουν τον κώλο τους ήσυχο. Όσο σιγά σιγά έπεφτε η δημοσιότητα του ζητήματος, τα ξανάνοιξαν όμως χωρίς τα προγράμματα συνδρομών που βγάζεις λεφτά με το να φέρνεις downloads. Επίσης είναι και πιο αυστηρά στο τι ανεβάζεις ορ σαμθινγκ οπότε αρκετοί τα έχουν εγκαταλείψει.
