Στο τελευταίο επεισόδιο το στομάχι μου ήταν δεμμένο. Δενέχωλόγια. Απίστευτη σεζόν, ίσως η καλύτερη μέχρι τώρα.

παρόλο που το στόρυ πίσω από τον Νάκι είναι πλέον εντελώς fictional, η ιστορία που διεξάγεται με τους capone, τον Torrio και τον dean ο'banion είναι αρκετά κοντά στην πραγματική (φυσικά χωρίς την παρουσία του fictional Van Alden). Η χρονιά που περιγράφεται στην σειρά είναι το 1924.

Death and Police reinforcements

As the election day turmoil progressed, outraged Cicero citizens petitioned Cook County Judge Edmund J. Jareki for help. The Chicago Police Department (CPD) sent 70 plainclothes officers to Cicero to maintain order at the polls and Jareki swore them in as deputy sheriffs. The CPD officers fought battles with the South Side Gang around Cicero all day. Around mid day, approximately 30 officers arrived in nine cars outside a polling station near the Western Electric plant. Already at the station, Frank and Al Capone allegedly thought these officers in civilian clothing were members of the rival North Side Mob attacking them. According to police, Frank pulled out a handgun and fired at the officers. However, some bystanders said that Frank never got the gun out of his back pocket. In either event, the officers opened fire, killing Frank with dozens of shots. Al managed to escape unharmed.

Enraged at Frank's death, Al retaliated by murdering one official and kidnapping others, and by stealing ballot boxes from the polling stations. At the end of the day, the Capone candidate Klenha had won.

On November 3, 1924, Dean O'Banion inadvertently signed his own death warrant during an argumentative phone call to arch-rival Angelo Genna. Their disagreement originated at The Ship, the gambling casino that the North Side gang boss owned along with the Torrio Syndicate. On this day, O'Banion sat in with Al Capone, Frank Nitti, Frank Rio, and others to tally the week's profits. It was mentioned that Angelo Genna had dropped a large amount of cash, plus a sizable marker. Capone recommended that they cancel the marker as a professional courtesy. O'Banion, instead, got Genna on the telephone and demanded that he pay his debt within a week. With this personal insult, Angelo Genna and his family could no longer be restrained.[5] Until then, Mike Merlo and the Unione Siciliana had refused to sanction a hit on O'Banion. However, Merlo had terminal cancer and died on November 8, 1924. With Merlo gone, the Gennas and South Siders were free to move on O'Banion.

Using the Merlo funeral as a cover story, over the next few days Brooklyn gangster Frankie Yale and others visited Schofield's, O'Banion's flower shop, to discuss floral arrangements. However, the real purpose of these visits was to memorize the store layout for the hit on O'Banion.

On the morning of November 10, 1924, O'Banion was clipping chrysanthemums in Schofield's back room. Yale entered the shop with Genna gunmen John Scalise and Albert Anselmi. When O'Banion and Yale shook hands, Yale grasped O'Banion's hand in a tight grip. At the same time, Scalise and Anselmi stepped aside and fired two bullets into O'Banion's chest and two into his throat. One of the killers fired a final shot into the back of his head as he lay face down on the floor.

Λοιπον προς το παρον 2 - 3 σχολια.Μιας και ειναι η τελευταια σεζον της 2ης πιο καλογραμμενης σειρας μετα το The wire ειναι πολυ ωραιο που εχουν τα flashback, δινει μια πιο ολοκληρωμενη αισθηση ολων των πεπραγμενων.Το Imdb δινει μονο 8 επεισοδια, και εχει να καλυψει αρκετους χαρακτηρες με το που βρισκονται και πως βρεθηκαν κτλ, ελπιζω σε λαθος εντιτ αλλιως θα ψιλοξενερωσω.
Λουτσιανο επιτελους θα γινει ο μεγαλυτερος γκανγκστερ ολων των εποχων και μου αρεσει διοτι ακολουθουν και τα πραγματικα γεγονοτα "ιστορικα".
Θρηνουμε Χαροου αλλα και το υποκαταστατο του φαινεται πολυ μουτρο τηρουμενων των αναλογιων ε.
Κατα τα λοιπα, η σειρα διατηρει το καταπληκτικο επιπεδο γραφης και σκηνοθεσιας και ηθοποιιας οποτε δεν περιμενουμε τιποτα λιγοτερο απο αλλο ενα επος

Ποιος είναι το υποκατάστατο;;

Για 8 επεισόδια ανανεώθηκε ο 5ος κύκλος όντως, οπότε δεν είναι λάθος. Από όσο καταλαβαίνω, δε θα έχουμε flashbacks για να δούμε τι έκαναν οι χαρακτήρες όλα αυτά τα χρόνια και κατέληξε ο καθένας όπου είναι, μάλλον με πλάγιο τρόπο θα τα μάθουμε. Ενδιαφέροντα βέβαια τα flashbacks στην παιδική ηλικία του Nucky.
