He fuses these influences in his compositions, using jazz idioms in formal classical structures. Kapustin views himself as a composer rather than a jazz musician. He has said, "I was never a jazz musician. I never tried to be a real jazz pianist, but I had to do it because of the composing. I’m not interested in improvisation – and what is a jazz musician without improvisation? All my improvisation is written, of course, and they became much better; it improved them."[1]

Από εκεί και πέρα όπως και οι περισσότεροι θα πω και εγώ Bach,Vivaldi και Albinoni και αυτό επειδή αυτοί ήταν μουσικά πιο κοντά στα σημερινά μας ακούσματα(όπως π.χ. το εκκλησιαστικό όργανο του Bach) σε σχέση με τους Mozart ή Beethoven.

τον ακούμε σε liszt, άριστος (ειδικά liebestraum, campanella, ουγγρικές ραψωδίες τα σκίζει) αλλά και σε σοπεν και ραχμανινοφ
τα νυχτερινά του σοπεν σχεδόν όλα είναι τέλεια, και τα βαλς του επίσης, ειδικά το 2

Απλά ρωτάω γιατί σε 9 χρόνια σπουδών στο όργανο, ζήτημα να έβγαλα στην καλύτερη περίπτωση σωστά πάνω από 4 συνεχόμενα μέτρα του..

Αγαπημενη μου συνθεση η αποκατω και γενικα ο Antonín Dvořák.
Γενικά πέραν εξαιρέσεων δεν προτιμώ Mozart. Όχι ότι με χαλάει, αλλά είμαι λίγο αλλού στο άθλημα. Αυτό το κομμάτι όμως... ειδικά από emil gilels...
Ίσως μ' αρέσει βασικά είναι ένα Μότσαρτ που δεν είναι Μότσαρτ.
