CHRIS ACHILLEOS HAS PASSED AWAY
Christos Achilleos, a British illustrator of Cypriot descent, passed away this week at the age of 74. Achilleos was a famous fantasy illustrator and in the hobby game world he is remembered for his covers made for Games Workshop (for the fantasy board game Talisman, for the first British edition of the fantasy role-playing game MERP, for the first editions of the Warhammer fantasy miniatures game) and the Fighting Fantasy game book series. His career, however, has been much broader and has made covers for novels of all kinds, for records and has also worked in the field of animation thanks to the famous Heavy Metal movie.
