To In the Mouth of Madness με Sam Neil κορυφαίο. Τα υπόλοιπα αδιάφορα. Ειδικά το Dagon ήταν ελεεινό. Τα παιχνίδια με στοιχεία Lovecraft έχουν χαλαρά κλασεις ανώτερα σενάρια (π.χ. Shadow of the Comet, Prisoner of Ice, Alone in the Dark).

αυτό το είχα γράψει για το "the Resurrected" το 2004. κάπως έτσι έχασα 5 χρόνια μέχρι να αξιωθώ να το δω. τελικά η ταινία αξίζει προσοχής από τους lovecraft fans. είναι διασκευή της "περίπτωσης... " στη σύγχρονη (90s) εποχή και ακολουθεί πιστά το καλύτερο διήγημα τρόμου όλων των εποχών. αν και b-movie με ό,τι αυτό συνεπάγεται, έχει ένα αρκετά καλό cast (Chris Sarandon ως Charles Dexter Ward / Joseph Curwen) και πετυχαίνει σε ικανοποιητικό βαθμό τη νοσηρή και φρικιαστική ατμόσφαιρα του βιβλίου - ειδικά στις κατακόμβες και όσο κλιμακώνεται ο τρόμος.
στο μεταξύ έχω δει και το dagon. θα διαφωνήσω με τους περισσότερους ότι είναι τρισάθλιο. προσωπικά το βρήκα διασκεδαστικό. για κάψιμο μεν, αλλά είχε τις στιγμές του...

να πω οτι είδα πριν κανα χρόνο και το Castle Freak που είχε αναφερθεί και είναι από τις ελάχιστες ταινίες τρόμου που θα χαρακτήριζα "τρομαχτικές" ή ας πούμε "creepy".
