Περίπου. Σαφώς και τα πάντα στη μουσική είναι υποκειμενικά, αλλά δεν είναι μόνο η μελωδία που καθορίζει το τι αρέσει στον καθένα. Σκέψου ότι υπάρχουν είδη χωρίς καθόλου μελωδία με μικρό αλλά υπαρκτό κοινό. Σημασία έχει γενικά τι συναισθήματα σου προκαλεί μια συγκεκριμένη μουσική, με όποιον τρόπο κι αν το κάνει αυτό, από μελωδία με την κλασική έννοια, μέχρι ηλεκτρονικούς ήχους, samples ομιλίας, κραυγές ζώων και οτιδήποτε άλλο.

Όπως έχει πει και κάποιος πολύ γαμάτα, "έχουμε όλοι διαφορετικά κυκλώματα ευτυχίας".
