    Default Mastodon - Leviathan

    Oχι, δεν ειναι το Monolith στην promo list της Relapse , απλα μολις το κατεβασα απο το soulseek... κυκλοφορει στο τελος του μηνα

    Οι Mastodon βρισκονταν μπροστα στην μεγαλη προκληση, τον δισκο που θα ακολουθουσε το τεραστιο Remission. Μετα απο 2 ακουσματα, νομιζω οτι αποτελει αξιο συνεχιστη του. Τα κολοσσιαια riffs ειναι παλι εδω (αντι για March of the Fire Ants εχουμε Seabeast). Ο drummer ειναι και παλι μια μπαντα μονος του. Το ιδιο ειχα παθει και οταν πρωτακουσα το remission, δεν μπορουσα να δωσω βαση σε τιποτα αλλο περα απο τα τυμπανα. Ο τυπος ειναι απιστευτος, σολαρει ασταματητα. Μονο που αυτη την φορα ειναι πιο δεμενος με τους υπολοιπους. Αυτη ειναι νομιζω η μεγαλη διαφορα με τον προηγουμενο δισκο. Η μπαντα ειναι ακομα πιο δεμενη.

    Επισης σημαντικη διαφορα υπαρχει και στην παραγωγη, που ειναι σαφως πιο καθαρη. Αυτο ισως χαλασει καποιους, κατα την γνωμη μου λειτουργει μια χαρα με μια μπαντα που λυνει ολοκληρωματα 3ου βαθμου στις συνθεσεις της...

    Επισης 2 μικροδιαφορες που ισως ξενισουν. Τα επιθετικα vokills ειναι παροντα μεν σε ολο το album αλλα εναν τονο πιο ηρεμα απο το Remission. Επισης υπαρχουν και 2 τραγουδια με καθαρα φωνητικα.

    Τελος, σε ενα instrumental κομματι εχουμε ακουστικες κιθαρες!!!

    Στα + του δισκου, η συμμετοχη του Scott Kelly των Neurosis στο Aqua Dementia που σκοτωνει...

    Δυσκολα θα ριξει το Ufomammut απο την κορυφη της λιστας μου αλλα μεσα στα 3 καλυτερα της χρονιας οπωσδηποτε...

Sxedon ola ta riff kai oi melwdies einai klassikotropou styl kai oi domes twn tragoudiwn poly endiaferouses. Thelei akousmata gia na to niwseis kala. Orismos tou true (kai oxi "trou") metal. To metalera to exei 18 eyrw pareaki me ena ntivinti. Parte to oloi (sxedon).
